Begin by building a lens about you. Write an article about why you decided to become an affiliate marketer. Write an article about your favorite hobbies. Throw in a few photos. Be sure to add a guestbook. You can even add an Amazon module and recommend your favorite books. Publish the lens. Now you have a web presence that you will use when joining a few affiliate programs.
Later you will build a Squidoo lens about affiliate marketing. Write a few articles using the Write module about different affiliate marketing programs. I'm going to give you few to write about in a moment. The purpose of this lens is to generate a few sub-affiliates for you. A sub-affiliate is someone who joins a program because of your recommendation.
Multiple tier affiliate programs reward you for your recommendation by paying you a small commission when your sub-affiliates earn a commission. It does not subtract anything from them; it's just a little extra for you. In turn, they can do the same thing and get their own sub-affiliates through their own recommendations.
