Blogging for Success: why else would you blog? Today is December 3, 2008 and it was just announced that the United States of America has officially been in a recession for a year. What does the spreading recession and credit crisis have to do with you blogging?
One of my biggest website clients is, perhaps, the most respected credit card expert in the US. For the past two months I've been working 40 hours each week on his site alone. Believe me when I say there is a credit crunch. It may not have hit you yet, but it's coming unless something serious happens.
American Express, Capitol One, and Chase are among those credit card issuers who have STOPPED marketing all or most of their business credit cards with performance based marketing.
Each of us needs to be on the lookout for a way to generate extra income. A lot of us need to generate a lot of extra income to offset possible job losses. We know this all too well. As Beth was approaching her 25th anniversary on the job, she was laid off. Twenty-six weeks of phone calls, emails, sending out resume after resume and her Arkansas unemployment checks stopped. She was able to qualify for a federal extension but that will be half as long.
The easiest way to begin earning income from home is by blogging. The cost is relatively low and you do not really need to know html or website coding in order to make money.
Let me be just as honest with you as I can be. Let's say you do lose your job and, like Beth, find out that the job market is cold, cold, cold. You may very well need to retrain yourself for a completely different kind of job. How long do you think that would take? How long would it be before you qualified yourself for another type of work? How much would that training cost?
Let me say it again. The easiest way to quickly earn income from home is by blogging.
Think for a moment about what blogs have in common. They were started by one person who had no experience blogging. Experience was gained through trial-and-error. Blog hosts and blog templates improved greatly over the years as more and more opportunities became available to making money with blogs.
There are FIVE KEYS to successful blogging.
- You must develop a Blogger's Attitude, but you must learn that mindset from those who are making lots of money blogging.
- You must learn how to write good content that does three things: 1. It gets people talking. 2. It gets other blogs linking to you. 3. It makes search engines fall in love with your blog.
- You must learn the latest ways to get traffic to your blog via link building, social marketing and networking.
- You must learn the best ways to earn money with your blog.
- You need to learn how to use blogging software, how to get your own domain, how to get hosting and the other technical aspects that will enable you to build a blog empire.
Fortunately, there is just such a program that will provide that training using easy to understand videos that walk you through each step of the way. If you can follow directions, you can be earning money as a blogger in no time.
Let me tell you. As we began to put some of these principles in place, we saw our Google Adsense revenue skyrocket. Equally impressive has been the continued success of our book sales on online book stores like Amazon. Beth's Brain Injury Blog developed after she lost her job. If you click that link to see Beth's blog, it will open in a new window which allows you to remain on this page. Just close her blog after looking around and you'll be right back here.
