Private Label Rights allow you to to take another person’s work, change it anyway you please, and call the edited material your own. You can actually claim to be the author, sell it, earn money with it and not be liable for any copyright infringement.
Resell rights, or resale rights, sometimes differ from author to author, especially when talking about PLR eBooks. Some works contain basic resell rights while others have what are called master resell rights.
Basic resell rights are simply permission from the owner of a product (an e-book, for example) to allow you to take and sell or distribute it for your own profit. Master resell rights allow you to sell both the product and the resale rights to the product.
It doesn't matter whose book you read about making money as an Internet marketer, you will read the words, "You really need your own product." And that's where a lot of people begin to shy away from online businesses. Private Label Rights, however, allow you to create that product quite easily. And I'm talking hours if not minutes.
Basic private label rights usually do not allow you to change the product. However you can put your name on it and claim authorship. These type of products are usually very inexpensive or free, and you can almost know for certain that the product contains links that benefit the original author.
Source Code Rights are the extra special PLR products you want. Usually you get a pdf version of the product PLUS a text version and/or a Word version as well. With source code rights, you can change any and everything you desire.
But, remember, in the beginning you are wanting to create a number of sellable products as quickly as you can. That means you will probably not be making a lot of changes.
